Overview — the short version

The honest summary: R36s Global is an Amazon affiliate website. We collect minimal data — primarily analytics to understand how our site is used — and we never sell your personal information to anyone. All purchases happen on Amazon, not on our servers. We never see or store your payment details.

This Privacy Policy explains how R36s Global ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our website at r36sglobal.com. By using our site, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

R36s Global is an affiliate marketing site. We earn a commission when you click our Amazon links and make a purchase. We do not manufacture, warehouse, or ship any products. All transactions are processed by Amazon, Inc., which has its own Privacy Policy.

If you have questions about this policy at any time, contact us — we're happy to explain anything in plain language.

02

What we actually collect

We keep data collection to the minimum necessary to run our site and respond to inquiries. Here is a complete breakdown of everything we may collect:

Data Type What It Includes How Collected
Contact Information Name and email address when you use our contact form You provide it voluntarily
Usage Analytics Pages visited, time on page, referral source, device type Automatically via analytics tools
Technical Data IP address (anonymized), browser type, operating system Automatically on page load
Cookie Data Session cookies, preference cookies, analytics cookies Browser storage (see Section 6)
Click Tracking Amazon affiliate link clicks (not purchase data) Amazon's affiliate tracking system

What we never collect: We do not collect payment information, credit card details, shipping addresses, purchase history, Social Security numbers, or any government-issued identification. All of that stays on Amazon's servers.

We do not collect sensitive personal data such as health information, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, or biometric data. We do not build user profiles for advertising purposes.

03

How we use your data

We use the limited data we collect for the following purposes only. We do not use your data for any purpose not listed here without obtaining fresh consent.

Purpose Legal Basis Retention Period
Responding to contact form submissions Legitimate interest / contract 24 months from last contact
Site analytics and performance improvement Legitimate interest (anonymized) 26 months (industry standard)
Sending newsletters (if opted in) Explicit consent Until you unsubscribe
Fraud prevention and security Legal obligation As required by law
Affiliate commission reporting Contractual (Amazon Associates) 7 years (tax/accounting)

Our analytics use is limited to understanding aggregate traffic patterns — which pages are popular, where visitors come from, and what devices they use. We use this to improve content and page speed. We do not use analytics to track individuals across websites.

04

Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We never have and never will. This is a firm, unconditional commitment — not a hedge.

We may share data with the following limited categories of third parties, only as necessary to operate our site:

Service Providers. We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate our website — including web hosting, email delivery, and site analytics. These providers process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

Amazon Associates Program. When you click an affiliate link, Amazon may place cookies on your device to track the referral. Amazon's data handling is governed by Amazon's Privacy Notice, not ours.

Legal Requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of R36s Global, our users, or the public.

Business Transfers. If R36s Global is acquired by or merged with another company, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via prominent notice on our site before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

05

Amazon & our affiliate relationship

R36s Global participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

How affiliate tracking works: When you click an Amazon link on our site, Amazon places a cookie in your browser (typically lasting 24 hours). If you make a purchase during that session, we receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or go directly to Amazon.

We have no access to your Amazon account, order history, payment details, or shipping information. Amazon is an independent data controller for all information collected during your Amazon session. We strongly encourage you to review Amazon's Privacy Notice to understand how they handle your data.

Our affiliate relationship with Amazon does not influence our editorial content. We recommend the R36S because we genuinely believe it is the best value retro handheld available for US buyers — not because the affiliate commission is favorable.

06

Cookies & tracking

We use a minimal set of cookies to keep our site functional and to understand how it is used. You can control cookie behavior through your browser settings at any time. Here is every cookie type we use:

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, or any cookies from ad networks. We do not participate in cross-site tracking or behavioral advertising of any kind.

To manage or delete cookies, use your browser's privacy settings. Most browsers allow you to block all cookies, accept only first-party cookies, or delete existing cookies at any time. Note that blocking essential cookies will affect site functionality.

07

Your rights & how to use them

Depending on where you live, you may have specific legal rights regarding your personal data. We honor these rights for all users, regardless of location — not just where the law requires it.

To exercise CCPA rights, contact us with the subject line "CCPA Request."

EU/UK residents (GDPR): If you believe your data protection rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. In the UK this is the ICO; in the EU it is your national data protection authority.

08

Children's privacy

R36s Global is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete that information promptly.

If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will take steps to delete it as quickly as possible. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and equivalent international regulations.

The R36S handheld is an appropriate gaming device for all ages, but our website and its terms are intended for adults and teens over 13. Younger children should have a parent or guardian review any purchase decisions.

09

How we protect your data

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Our security practices include:

Encryption in transit. All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher (HTTPS). We enforce HTTPS on all pages and redirect all HTTP traffic automatically.

Access controls. Access to personal data is limited to team members who need it to perform their job. All team members are bound by confidentiality obligations.

Minimal data retention. We only keep data for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law. Contact form submissions are deleted after 24 months.

No payment data stored. We never collect, process, or store credit card or payment information. All transactions go through Amazon's secure payment infrastructure.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information using commercially acceptable means, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your data has been compromised, please contact us immediately.

10

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we make material changes, we will:

1. Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and in the page header.

2. Display a prominent notice on our homepage for at least 30 days after a material change.

3. If you have provided your email address, we will send a notification email describing what has changed and why.

We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed. Your continued use of R36s Global after a policy change constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. If you disagree with a change, you may request deletion of your data by contacting us.

Minor changes — such as clarifying language, fixing typos, or adding examples — do not constitute material changes and will not trigger a notification. The version number and update date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
